毎年秋に10日間ほどかけてビッグスカイ校への短期研修を行っています。各教科の学習状況や意欲などを計るため、日本語・英語による面接や作文などにより選抜された10名ほどの生徒に教師2名（団長、英語科教師）が引率します。

Hello～!
We visited America from September 25 to October 3. We will tell you about our visit to Big Sky High School and Montana. First, we will tell you about our nine days. (省略)
Next, we are going to tell you about impressive things each of us experienced in America. (省略)

Now we will tell about Big Sky High School. Big Sky High School is as big as our school. There are about 1200 students in the school. But there are more rooms in Big Sky High School than in our school. Big Sky High School has a big parking lot and the students can get a driver's license when they are sixteen. So many students go to school by car. Others go to school by school bus. Very few students go to school by bike because most of the students live far from school. 　　
At Big Sky High School, each class is 90 minutes long. Students take two classes in the morning and another two in the afternoon. There is no cleaning time, no SHR, no Shurei, and no LHR. There is ten-minutes' break between classes.
Unlike Japan, each teacher has their own room, so teachers teach in their room all day, and the students move from room to room for the next class. At Big Sky High School, students have their own opinions and they express them actively and clearly. During the ten-minutes' break, students relax themselves, but once the class begins, they concentrate on the class. No students sleep in class.

The school has many events. One of them is "Colors Day." 　　 　　 　　　
When we visited the school, it was a "Colors Day." What to wear on that day was decided according to their grade. For example, freshers were to be dressed in red, sophomores in green, juniors in orange, and seniors in pink. Students wore strange clothes. Some of them had an afro style. Some had heavy make-up. Some had wings on their back. They have strong personality, and they are very cheerful.

One of my friends had this experience. She took a movie class. In the class, they watched the movie, and then wrote how they felt about it. The movie they watched was an old American movie. She couldn't understand what the characters in the movie were talking about. But she could understand the flow of the story. So she enjoyed it. For all these experiences, we want to express our gratitude to many people around us, to the people who supported us. Without them, we couldn't have done nothing. Thanks to them, we have had wonderful experiences. We'd like to say once again "Thank you" to them.
Finally, we all would like to say, "WE LOVE MONTANA!!"

こんにちは。
私たちは９月２５日から１０月３日までアメリカを訪れました。
これからビッグスカイ高校訪問とモンタナについて話します。
最初に、９日間の日程について話します。（省略）
次に、私たちがアメリカで経験した印象的なことについて話します。（２０人それぞれが経験したことを簡単に紹介＝省略）
さて、これからビッグスカイ高校について話します。ビッグスカイ高校は、私たちの高校と同じくらいの規模です。生徒数は約１２００人です。しかし、教室の数はビッグスカイ高校のほうが多いようです。ビッグスカイ高校には大きな駐車場があり、生徒は１６歳になると運転免許が取得できます。それで、たくさんの生徒が車で学校へ行きます。その他の生徒はスクールバスで学校へ行きます。自転車で学校へ行く生徒はほとんどいません。大部分の生徒が学校から遠いところに住んでいるからです。
ビッグスカイ高校では、それぞれの授業は９０分です。午前中に授業が２つあり、午後に２つの授業があります。掃除、ＳＨＲ、終礼、ＬＨＲなどの時間はありません。授業と授業の間の休憩時間は１０分間です。
日本と違って、それぞれの先生が自分の教室を持っています。それで、先生は１日中自分の教室で教え、生徒が次の授業の時には教室を移動します。
ビッグスカイ高校の生徒は、自分の意見を持っており、活発にはっきりとその意見を述べます。１０分間の休憩の間、生徒達はリラックスしますが、いったん授業が始まると授業に集中します。授業中寝る生徒はいません。
学校にはたくさんの行事があります。その一つが、「カラーズ・デイ」です。私たちが訪問した日が「カラーズ・デイ」の日でした。学年によってどんな色のものを着るかが決まっていました。例えば、一年生は赤、二年生は緑、三年生はオレンジ、四年生はピンクのものを着るようになっていました。
生徒たちには変わった服装をしているものがいました。中にはアフロスタイルのものもいました。化粧がすごい人もいました。背中に翼を生やした人もいました。生徒たちはとても個性が強く、陽気でした。
私の友だちは次のような体験をしました。彼女は映画の授業を受けました。授業で映画を見たあと、その映画についてどう思ったか書くことになっていました。見た映画はアメリカの映画でした。友だちは映画に出てくる人たちがどんなことを話していたのか分かりませんでした。しかし、彼女は話の流れは理解できたのです。それで、映画を楽しむことが出来たそうです。
このようなさまざまな経験が出来たことに対して、私たちは、私たちの周りの全ての人に、そして、私たちを支援してくれた人に感謝したいと思います。この人たちがいなかったら、何も出来なかったろうと思います。この人たちのおかげで、すばらしい経験が出来ました。もう一度この人たちに「ありがとうございました」と言いたいと思います。
最後に、私たち全員が言いたいことは「WE LOVE MONTANA」です。
